Boats In Safe Harbor was made at Dinner Key Marina in Coconut Grove Florida. Coconut Grove is a small village located just south of downtown Miami.

Coconut Grove was where Eastern Airlines started service with seaplanes. Some of the original airplane hangars are still standing. A lot of early South Florida history was made in Coconut Grove. Today there is a huge marina where the seaplanes used to takeoff. The area in this photo is located at the south end of the marina. The island in back of the boats provides safety from high seas in this small protected area.

This photograph was made with a #16 Cirkut Camera. It is a contact print on photographic paper.
