What does panoramic mean in photography?

It means an all around view. A Panoramic Photograph can be a view of 360 degrees or more or less. This means that you can see whats behind, on the sides, and in front of you. It's really the way we see things. When we are looking at our world we don't just see the 60 degree angle in front of our eyes that an ordinary photograph provides you. We turn our heads. We look to the sides. We look to see whats in back of us. We look all around so that we can take it all in. We have a better understanding that way. That way we encompass it all. That's what a Panoramic Photograph is. A photograph that encompasses it all.
